Via Aachen/Cologne (coming from the southeast or east):
From Cologne take the motorway A4 [E40] heading towards Aachen. After Aachen this motorway changes into the A76 [E314](Antwerpen/Brussels). Once in Belgium, (the A76 changes again to motorway A2) leave the highway at exit 33, taking the N78 towards Maaseik. Following this road you will arrive in Dilsen. Turn left at the crossing with the traffic lights onto the N771 direction Opoeteren. (continued at )

Via Duisburg/Roermond (coming from the northeast):
From Duisburg take the motorway A40 [E34] direction Venlo. Shortly after Duisburg change to the A57 [E31] direction Cologne/Krefeld. After approximately 10 km change to A44 direction Mönchengladbach. Before coming to Mönchengladbach change to A52 direction Roermond. After some time the A52 ends and you have to drive on route 230 until - in Roermond - you turn left into the N271 direction Echt/Linne. Before Echt you reach the A2 [E25] (slip road 44) on which you have to drive direction Maastricht. Leave the A2 at Roosteren, exit 46 direction Maaseik. Immediately after having crossed the Maas, turn left into the N78 direction Maasmechelen/Dilsen. After approximately 5 km you reach Dilsen where you have to turn right (crossing with trafficlights) onto the N771, direction Opoeteren. (continued at )

Via Eindhoven (coming from the north):
From Eindhoven take motorway A2 [E25] towards Maastricht/Liège. Leave the A2 at exit 46,"Roosteren", towards Maaseik. Cross the Maas River,then take a left turn onto the N78, towards Dilsen/Maasmechelen. In Dilsen take a right turn (crossing with traffic lights) onto the N771, direction Opoeteren. (continued at ) Via Brussels/Antwerpen (coming from the west): From Brussels take motorway A3 [E40] towards Liège and then change to the A2 [E314] at the motorway junction "Leuven". From Antwerpen take motorway A13 [E313] towards Liège, changing to the A2 [E314] at the motorway junction "Lummen". Leave the A2 at exit 32,"Genk Oost", onto the N75 towards Lanklaar/Dilsen. After 12 km. turn left direction Opoeteren. After 2km turn left onto the N771 and then another turn again left into the next street (signs “Wandelwegen” and “Dilserbos”). After 1km you have reached the Centre (see also the map).

Via Brussels/Antwerpen (coming from the west):
From Brussels take motorway A3 [E40] towards Liège and then change to the A2 [E314] at the motorway intersection "Leuven".
From Antwerpen take motorway A13 [E313] towards Liège, changing to the A2 [E314] at the motorway intersection "Lummen".
Leave the A2 at exit 32,"Genk Oost", onto the N75 towards Lanklaar/Dilsen. After 12 km. turn left direction Opoeteren. After 2km turn left onto the N771 and then another turn again left into the next street (signs “Wandelwegen” and “Dilserbos”). After 1km you have reached the Centre (see also the map).

Via Liège (coming from the south):
From Liège take the A25 [E25] towards Maastricht. In the Netherlands the motorway changes into the A2 [E25]. At the motorway junction "Knooppunt Kerensheide" change to the A76 [E314] towards Antwerpen/Brussels. In Belgium, leave the motorway at exit 33, onto the N78 towards Maaseik. In Dilsen turn left (crossing with traffic lights) onto the "Europalaan"(N771), direction Opoeteren. (continued at )

 Driving on the Europalaan (N771) over the canal, take the third road on your left approximately 1km after the canal. Follow the signs ”Driepaal”, “Wandelwegen” and "Dilserbos". The Centre is 1km further, on your right.

Cyclists may make use of the official bicycle path system of the province of Limburg (Kempen and Maasland counties). Dhamma Pajjota is to be found at crossroads nr. 42 on that system.

Please note: on the starting day of every course there will be a pick-up service – for more information see below.

Travelling from within Belgium
Take a train to Genk and then take bus #45 towards Maaseik. Get off at Dilsen Kruispunt bus stop. This bus runs regularly and takes approximately 40 minutes. For complete details and times please see the route planner at http://www.delijn.be (bus), http://www.b-rail.be (train).

Travelling from the Netherlands
Take a train to Maastricht from where you can take buses. To find out the best route, please check http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/.

On the starting day of every course, there will also be a pick-up service via Sittard. See below for details.

From Maastricht, take bus #63 to Maasmechelen Centrum, where you change to bus #45 towards Maaseik. Get off at Dilsen Kruispunt bus stop. These buses run regularly. The journey time to Maasmechelen Centrum is approximately 45 minutes. Bus #45 waits for bus #63 in Maasmechelen Centrum and takes another 15 minutes to Dilsen Kruispunt. If you are travelling by bus, please let the Dhamma Pajjota office know at what time you plan to arrive at Dilsen Kruispunt, so that we can pick you up by car from there.

Travelling from Germany
Take a train to Aachen where you can take a bus to Maastricht or take a connecting train to Maastricht via Heerlen. To find out the best route, please check http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/.
From Maastricht, follow the instructions above.

Alternatively it is possible to travel from Germany via Sittard and make use of the pick-up service from the ferry in Berg a/d Maas (Urmond). Please see below for more information.

At the bus stop Dilsen Kruispunt or at the ferry in Berg a/d Maas (Urmond) on the starting day of every course.

Bus stop Dilsen Kruispunt, Belgium
Participants coming by bus can be picked up at the bus stop Dilsen Kruispunt between 2 and 5 pm.

Ferry Berg a/d Maas, Netherlands
Participants travelling from the Netherlands or Germany can also be picked up at the ferry across the Maas river at Berg a/d Maas (Urmond). Take the train to Sittard and then take the bus to Beatrixplein, Berg a/d Maas (Urmond) from there. For bus times, please check the website http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/. From Beatrixplein, it is a short walk to the ferry across the Maas River. The ferry is free for foot passengers. The whole journey from Sittard to the ferry takes about 20-25 minutes. The centre car will be at the ferry at the requested time (between 2 and 5 pm at around 15 and 45 past the hour). There is a charge of 3 euro per person for this service. Please note that it saves you approx. 1 hour travel time and around 10 euro.

This pick-up service is only available at the beginning of the course. For the return journey it is likely to find a lift with other participants. Please check the board “Lifts Offered” on the last day of the course. If you need assistance, contact the office.

From Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) take a train to "Brussel Noord" or to "Leuven". Change train to Genk. Further info, see above: public transport, in Belgium.
